My bathroom drawers have a tendency to collect a bunch of stuff… if yours don’t, please leave a comment and let me know how you keep the stuff out! I have exactly zero patience for cleaning, so I try to keep cleaning projects as short as possible to get them over and done with. That being said, in my time of consistently purging my stuff and getting rid of things, I have learned to let go of my attachemnt to things, and I realize this doesn’t happen right away, so I can understand if it takes a little bit longer to go through a drawer.
Here are my simple rules for what to toss:
- Things that are old and/or expired
- Duplicates
- Things that don’t work.
When I started getting serious about getting rid of things, I would feel SO GUILTY at first about throwing away so much perfectly good stuff. The way I learned to overcome this is to change my attitude towards buying more stuff. I am much more careful now to only buy exactly what I need and be sure I use things until they are completely empty.
